I'm jealous! I've never seen ghosts or aliens. The doctor and I once thought I had an alient implant though.

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight I did say "thought". Under the skin of my right thigh, there's a solid feeling lump about 2 to 3 cm wide. Since it was so solid feeling and irregularly shaped, the doctor thought it might be an implant. Since I've never had surgury, the conclusion was alien implant. I went to the specialist and had an ultrasound and an x-ray. It turns out that it is probably an old injury from fencing. I always thought it was just a blocked cyst. I think it's just an old fencing injury... So the lump was probably a bruise that didn't heal properly or a ruptured bit of fat that has died and calcium was attacted to the injury and just solidified around it.

Trust me... that's the easy version. I still have the doctor's report and it just isn't English!

HISTORY: Given as a subcutaneous foreign body anteriorly, 3 x 2 cm, triangular, ? aetiology.
ULTRASOUND RIGHT THIGH The clinical area of interest, as a palpable lump 5 cm above knee joint antero-medially in the distal thigh shows illdefined irregular margin, marked posterior acoustic shadowing indicating its heavily calcified nature. It is entiredly subcutaneous, measuring 1.83 x 0.63 x 1.63 cm. It partially obscures the underlying muscle aponeurosis (which I believe is intact).
X-RAY RIGHT DISTAL THIGH (SELF DETERMINED) The same lesion is confirmed to be a discrete heterogeneously calcified lesion within the subcutaneous compartment. The feature is highly consistent with dystrophic calcification presummably from either fat necrosis or old calcified haemotoma. It is not typical of a foreign body.
CONCLUSION: Heavily calcified lesion, entirely subcutaneous, presenting as the lump. The appearance is highly consistent with focal fat necrosis or a havily calcified haemotoma. It is not typical of a foreign body.
;D Try to understand that!

I know the topic has drifted but I shall add my 2 cents to the conversation.
I too am an Eastern Suburbs boy. I Bra Boy (Maroubra) to be exact. I was not born here, so technically I am not a local and the fact that I have been living here for 2 and a half year means I am far from a local.
I know Greer and Sophie used to live here back in the day.
