what's wrong with linkin park? is it that they're succesful world wide? is it that they write good catchy radio metal songs? is it that they have legions of fans? or is it because its one of those bands its cool to hate?

I think it's that they are very annoying and lack talent.
They bombard television with their advertisements like Matchbox 20 and have even less talent. The guy can't sing and all their songs sound like the same old angst shyte that was cool ten years ago but is now passe.
Oh yes. They are cool to hate too. ;D You can have fun rhyming their material to better descriptions:
eg
Linkin' Park = Stinkin' Fart
Hybrid Theory = Horridly Dreary
Meteora = Mediocre
fun and educational for the whole family
