Best Shows: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - SCG 2003* Yo La Tengo - The Metro 2003 Chicks on Speed - The Annandale Hotel 2003 Foo Fighters - Festival Hall 2003 Van Halen - National Tennis Centre 1998 The Breeders - The Metro 2003 Gordon Gando (from the Viollent Femmes) - Roma Room 2003 Worst Shows: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - SCG 2003* Jason Mraz - The Metro 2003 Hell City Glamours - The Spanish Club 2003 NoKTurnal - Powerhouse Museum 2002 Gerling - all of them The Superjesus - everyone of them Tex Perkins & The Dark Horses - Enmore Theatre 2003 Best Aussie show: Probably one of Skulker's shows on the "Coming Home" tour. Best drum solos: Alex Van Halen - National Tennis Centre 1998 Kirsten - just before the Green Room show Best Guitar Solo: Eddie Van Halen during "Mean Streets" - National Tennis Centre 1998 - front row centre Weirdest Nudity: This girl who is dancing at Remake Remodels (The Spanish Club 2003) - her pants just drop and I wasn't even using my telekenetic powers. She wore no underpants too. Hottest older chick I've fantasized about: Kim Deal People who are funny as hell when drunk and spilling stuff: Sophie - Harbord Diggers 2003 ;D Footnotes: * = Rain caused the power to be cut 4 times. I didn't actually feel any rain. At one point, I was close to walking out. In the end, it was a great show because the crowd carried the show during the outtages (eg singing along to War with just help from mighty Max Weinberg's drums) and Bruce was grateful that we carried the show and said funny stuff such as talking about this being his worst nightmare, "when I say I'll never forget this show, I really mean ILL NEVER FORGET THIS SHOW", "you're hired" (to us for singing), "someone's gonna get fired tomorrow" and then he played "Rosalita" for the first time in about 4 years.

Also, I've slagged them off in another thread. ;D

ohhh i don't think he was hitting on me... just being friendly? ambulance blues, how much detail do you want to go into? I can't really pick my best gig. its too hard. But I know it would be Nirvana if i had seen them. I think I need to stop getting so drunk when i go out. I always know that I have a good time, but I often can't remember parts of the night....

I can't believe I went home so early on Friday night and just because I heard Utopia was having a kickarse CD sale... and well, I was disappointed. The only famous (to me) stuff they had was some U2, Pearl Jam (surprising!), a Sex Pistols bootleg, Van Halen 3 and Bob Dylan.

Radiohead are locked and loaded for April-May 2004. Get yr shib on. Even if you don't dig their music try to catch them live. Thom's vocals are indescribable and Jonny's solos are just plain insane.
Red Riders last friday night @ hoey is prolly my local set of the year to date. Brilliant. And the demo is kickin'. Like sexed-up, stoned over Vines.
