Well hello there.
Just thought I'd say hi, and tell you what has been happening in Modular Lounge land lately. (We are a bit slack with updating the news section. oops.)
Anyway, finally our first release is finished and available for people to buy. yay. About time! We have released a four track EP called Four Songs. Lets hope we hear a track or two on the radio soon. (you can request it on Triple J, FBI etc.) You can currently buy these at shows, and they should be available at some record stores very soon. Will keep you posted when and where.
Just yesterday we played the last show of a 15 date tour with Thirsty Merc and Sarah McLeod. We travelled up and down the east coast of Australia and had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came along and supported us. All the bands got together last night for an end of tour celebration which lasted into the early hours of Monday morning...
I wonder if everybody else feels as hung over as I do today? Hmm.. i got a message from Sophie saying she is never drinking again. hehe.
What else...
Oh yeah, we are playing every Wednesday in July at Spectrum on Oxford Street. A residency with Bertie Blackman. It will be good to play some smaller Sydney shows at a venue we love to play at. Should be fun so come along!
As for our Album... It is going to be called 'See What You Are' and is just in the mixing stages at the moment. We swung by the studio yesterday to have a listen to some of the finished tracks, and it's sounding fab. We are really happy with how it is coming along. Should be ready for release very verys soon. Exciting stuff!
We should be having some sort of launch soon too.. I'll let you know when I know the details.. It will be big!
OK.. well i think that is all for now... My brain can't function anymore.
