Went down to the Hopetoun tonight to finally check out the Prostitutes. They were great. Their singer was quite drunk before she got on stage and put so much energy on stage. She kept saying she was about to collapes but kept on rocking on. Also got to see Silo, which I should have seen when I was stupid enough to not go to see Sahara Hotnights. Too many gigs, not enough money.

Damn you Mother Fucker...were so going to go lastnight to check out the Prostitutes and Silo, but got home and saw my couch and that was it. Yay...I found it comforting that the singer went on stage already drunk.....I thought the Modular's were the only ones that do that. ;D

Yes well, I tried for 2 days to convince someone to come with me to see The Prostitues and Silo.... But no. No one could be bothered making the effort!
How were Silo?

Silo were good. Sophie the bass player looked a bit out of it at times but definatly delivered some great songs. No CDs for sale on the night from either of them, in some way it was good because I am straped for cash. I had to settle for Silo mp3s from their website. What's with female guitarist being tiny, I think Wayan, Silo's guitarist is smaller than Greer from Skulker and I was just at the Hopetoun last week checking out the Fyreflyes and Jill and Jess aren't much taller. Though from memory Modular Lounge is an exempted from this. Don't know if you Modge girls are interested but Brisbane trio Razel are playing at the UTS bar on Tuesday night. I think I will check them out there rather than making the trek over the harbour next friday to see them at the Harbord Diggers.

Yeah Razel are great. I recon we will probably go to check them out at the Manning Bar on Tuesday.
Colin, you are right about Modular Lounge being exempt from the height thing... Sophie and I are both of reasonable height... Lyndal is a bit shorter but not as short as Greer or Batti from Skulker.

Going to the Manning Bar would be nice seeing that I think it would also be free. Tuesday is at lunchtime and I have a huge day at uni on Tuesdays so I will have to check them out at night at UTS. Hope cover charge is nice and cheap because as I have said before I am straped for cash and trying to see too many bands.

RAZEL are one of my fave bands. So I will definitely be there.

Claire was wearing a Ramones t-shirt at the Manning Bar Show. Andy owns a Peavey 5150 III Stack (but only brought the amp head). I almost died from worship and drooling over the 5150!

Just thought it was funny that I am seeing The Prostitutes tomorrow night and it's in Kings Cross.
Was hard to talk to Clem at uni today over the phone. Was trying not to mention both words together.
