I have seen The Camels 3 times in the past few weeks and i have to say that i think they are really cool.
Their songs are great...
If you haven't seen them, I think you should.

I have been dying to see the Camels for at least over 12 months and I finally got to see them at the Newtown Festival which was cool...they were as good as what I expected

I think I've somehow managed to miss them so many times. The first time I missed them, they were supporting Skulker on the Coming Home tour in March.
I decided to have dinner at Thai-in-a-box (that place that is joined to the Annandale) during their set between Skulker and Laura Imbruglia.

Hehe Thai in a box... I love Oporto's. You lucky sydneysiders have it so good. We got our first Oporto's in Melbourne this year. But it's right in the middle of Chapel Street, which isn't my first choice of locales... Laura Imbruglia is very cool. Her songs are very clever and make me laugh. I do like Modge much more than skulker though. Having met both bands through Space Like Alice, Modge are nicer and I enjoyed the show more. Cheers n beers, Mark

If Thai-in-a-box was cheaper, I'd get it so much much more often.
I also wish Oportos was cheaper. It's good but it's still not worth paying the cost of a good sit-down meal price for takeaway.

Hey thanks very much for the cool words. Most appreciative. I must admit I dug silverchair way more in the Helmetish era. They rocked the place. I even got spat on by Daniel twice but considered it rock and didn't mind. I really don't get the Diorama thing at all, I'm not sure if they even do. Obviously be in Melbourne and in my teens at the time, I never saw that Easter show, only some footage later on. Hehe that bloody website of mine is a bit of a bugbear. Main reason is I can't update it, and have been able to for about 3 years. And so much has happened since then, a whole tour with Foo Fighters with the BDO, and therefore QOTSA etc. The Avril tour. Waiting four nights in the cold to finally meet Chris Cornell and being Tom Morello's laughing stock etc etc. I did some roadying for Melbourne band The Fallouts - that was good as they had support for Pacifier. Best show. And Jon Toogood is amonst being too good *drum fill* one of the nicest guys in rock. I have my eyes on possibly roadying some biggish bands, one of them from the USA who may be visiting in 2004. Would always happy to help the Modge too. I bought a new PRS too... hehe. Yes, its Mark Tremonti's (Creed) signature model, and although the band has its detractors, Mark is a gun, and has one of the rockingest sounds going. It hints at a Les Paul while being its own monster. And its PRS... Hope you guys had a good weekend. I saw Fur Patrol and had a couple of stubbies with Phil Knight of Pacifier. Hehe they weren't talking rugby.
